Eleanor DiLuca, 93 of Crucible, Pa., died Thursday, December 2, 2010 in her home. She was born November 4, 1917 in Ronco, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Rachel (Fata) Polish. Mrs. DiLuca was a Roman Catholic. Her kind heart will always be remembered as she prepared many wonderful dishes of spaghetti in her younger years for funerals and also to share with her many friends in Crucible. Each Christmas Eve, her family would gather at her home for her incredible dishes and family traditions that included many foods. On May 3, 1947, she married Louis "Ducky" DiLuca, who died January 1, 1965. Mrs. DiLuca lived a quiet life with her son, Bobby, after her husband died. She helped Bobby for 47 years in the early hours of the morning to prepare his newspapers for delivery. Surviving in addition to her son, Louis Robert "Bobby" DiLuca are a daughter, Rachel DiLuca Teagarden and her husband, Percy, of Carmichaels, Pa.; a grandson, Kenneth Louige DiLuca; a brother, Louis Polish and his wife, Sadie of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Amelia Venicasa and her husband, Armando of Masontown, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, Joe Polish, Frank Polish and Mike Polish and two sisters, Ida Clearage and Olive Mayer. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will held at 10:30 A. M. on Monday, December 6, 2010, followed at 11:00 A. M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Crucible. A vigil service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday in the funeral home.
