Permelia M. Jensen

Permelia M. Jensen, 97 of Masontown, Pa. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 12:45 A.M. on Friday, December 24, 2010 in Coville Personal Care Home, Masontown. She was born March 4, 1913 in Cumberland Township, Greene County, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles H. and Asia V. (Barnhart) Ross. Mrs. Jensen attended Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels and resided in Carmichaels most of her life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carmichaels and the United Methodist Women. On March 26, 1934, she married Carl E. Jensen, who died December 4, 1999. Surviving are a son, Charles E. Jensen and his wife, Carole, of Tyrone, Pa.; a daughter, Carol A. Mihallik of Masontown; three grandchildren, Andrea Mihallik, Jeffrey Mihallik and Michael Jensen; a great grandson, Andrew Mihallik; a brother, Wilbur A. Ross and his wife, Ethel, of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a grandson, Phillip Mihallik, who died in infancy; a granddaughter, Laurie Ann Jensen, who died in infancy; a brother, Calvin Ross and three sisters, Evelyn Ross, Estella Sharpnack and Bessie Kennedy. The family acknowledges with deep appreciation the kindness shown to Millie during her stay at Coville Personal Care Home. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. The Rev. Bruce R. Judy will officiate. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
