Robert L. Davidson, 79 of Shalersville Township, Ohio and formerly of Greene County, Pa., passed away on Sunday January 2, 2011 at his home. He was born on February 8, 1931 in Jefferson, Pa., a son of the late Lloyd H. and Zella (Grimm) Davidson. A resident of Ohio since 1961, he retired from the Ford Motor Company's Walton Hills Division as an oiler after 36½ years of faithful service. Mr. Davidson was well known for his dedication to numerous Masonic affiliations that included being a Past Master of Mantua, Ohio Lodge No. 533 F. & A.M., a Past High Priest of Silver Creek Chapter No. 144 of Garrettsville, Ohio, Past Illustrious Master of Warren Council No. 58 of Warren, Ohio, Past Commander of Allenby Commandery No. 73 of Twinsburg, Ohio, a member of Knights of the York Cross of Honour Ohio Priory No. 18 and a Past Patron of Crescent Chapter No. 7 O. E. S. of Garrettsville, Ohio. He was an active member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, Aurora, Ohio. On June 30, 1951, he married Ada J. Albaugh who survives. Also surviving are his daughters Deborah Williams of Streetsboro, Ohio, Robin Lester and her husband, Terry, and Tammy Meek and her husband, Kenny, all of Kent, Ohio; grandchildren Brian Strayer, Scott Williams, Lisa (Jozsef) Jakab and Nicole (Michael) Stephan; brother Raymond Davidson and his wife, Audrey, of Ambridge, Pa. and sister Lucille Policz of Jefferson, Pa. He was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Bucciarelli. Funeral services were held on January 6, 2011 at the Aurora United Methodist Church, Aurora.
