Helen Kovach Enoff, 96 of Westminster, Md. and formerly of Greensboro, Pa., died at 10:25 P.M. on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster. She was born June 1, 1914 in Grays Landing, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Louis and Helen Marie (Kreson) Kovach. Mrs. Enoff resided in the Greensboro area most of her life where she was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. She owned and operated Helen's Restaurant in Glassworks (near Greensboro) from 1939 until 1989. Mrs. Enoff enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, embroidery work and spending time with her family. On December 25, 1934, she married Dick Enoff, who died September 20, 1977. She was predeceased by a son, Emil R. Enoff. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Dolores Enoff of Greensboro; a son, Louis D. Enoff, and his wife, Diane, of Westminster; 11 grandchildren: Emil Enoff, Jr. and his wife, Beverly; Dolly Enoff-Ansell and her husband, Michael; Joyce Enoff; Cindy Grim and her husband, Reuben; Richard Enoff and his wife, Beth; Patricia Enoff Stewart; Linda Enoff; Ronald Enoff and his wife, Robin; Dan Enoff and his wife, Sarah; Marsha Nusbaum and Tom Enoff and his wife, Bethany; 28 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Kovach and William Kovach and his wife, Violet, all of Greensboro; two sisters, Ethel Mikita of Tampa, Fla. and Margaret Tencer and her husband, Albert, of Morgantown, W. Va.; two sisters-in-law, Marie Kovach of Greensboro and Norma Kovach of Akron, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, Steve Kovach, Charles Kovach and Louis Kovach, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Helen Kovach, who died in infancy and Pearl E. Kayla; a brother-in-law, George Mikita and two sisters-in-law, Pauline Kovach and Helen Kovach. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 11:15 A.M. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 12:00 Noon at the Holy Family Worship Site of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, Greensboro with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown, Pa. A vigil service will be held at 8:00 P.M. on Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Monongahela Hill Cemetery, c/o H. Miller Barb, 955 Mapletown Rd., Greensboro, PA 15338.
