Gwendolyn Higinbotham

Gwendolyn Higinbotham, 97 of Uniontown, Pa., died at 2:26 P.M. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 in her home. She was born April 19, 1913 in Allison, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Harvey and Roxlina (Downes) Pletcher. Mrs. Higinbotham resided in Uniontown most of her life and worked as a seamstress at Kaufmanns in Uniontown. She enjoyed craft work and knitting. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are three brothers, Tom Pletcher, George Pletcher and Charles Pletcher and a sister, Leota Harden. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Thursday, February 17, 2011. Pastor John Rich Dorean will officiate. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
