Jeane M. Hartley

Jeane M. Hartley, 64 of Carmichaels, Pa. died at 7:35 P.M. on Thursday, March 31, 2011in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg. She was born May 28, 1946 in El Paso, Texas a daughter of the late James and Jeane (Leiper) Little. She worked as a legal secretary for Attorney Anthony Kovach in Uniontown, Pa. as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Hartley loved to crochet and enjoyed reading, playing bingo and listening to gospel and country music. She also assisted her husband, Howard at his flower shop, Flowers by Howard, in Carmichaels. Mrs. Hartley attended the First Baptist Church in Carmichaels and the Jefferson Baptist Church in Jefferson, Pa. On August 12, 1972, she married Howard D. Hartley, who died February 24, 2003. Surviving is her sister-in-law, Marlene DeFrank of Rices Landing, Pa. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a brother, James Little. At the request of the deceased all arrangements are private. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the, Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Rd., Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
