Titus M. Hager

Titus M. Hager, 81 of Greensboro, Pa. and formerly of Princeton, W. Va., died at 8:50 P.M. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Golden Living Center, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born November 28, 1929 in Bluefield, a son of the late Henry Arthur and Nora (Hall) Hager. Mr. Hager worked as an electrician in power line construction and lastly at the Nemacolin Mine in Nemacolin, Pa. He was currently serving as president of Local 6290 of the United Mine Workers of America in Nemacolin and was a past vice-president and Compac representative-delegate to the U. M. W. A. conventions. As a 36 year member of the U. M. W. A., he also volunteered for the District 4 food bank. Mr. Hager was a 60 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 70 and was a 55 year member of Concord Lodge No. 48, A. F. and A. M. in Athens, W. Va. He enjoyed wood working, fishing and electrical work. On April 15, 1966, he married Charlotte (Steed) Esteppe, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, David Esteppe and his wife, Gloria, of San Diego, Cal. and Samuel Lynn Esteppe and his wife, Diane, of Front Royal, Va.; four grandchildren, David Esteppe, Jr., Christopher Esteppe, Tyler Esteppe and Cindy Esteppe; a great granddaughter, Addison Grace Esteppe and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother Allen Hager and a sister, Bernice Minnick. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 P.M. on Sunday, April 17, 2011 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday with the Rev. Bruce R. Judy officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the mausoleum chapel of Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, W. Va. for the committal service. The Rev. Orville L. Harvey will officiate Masonic Services will follow by Concord Lodge No. 48, A. F. and A. M.
