David A. Zalar, 67 of Greensboro (Glassworks), Pa., died at 3:15 P.M. on Friday, April 29, 2011 in his home. He was born July 13, 1943 in Glassworks, a son of the late Joseph Louis and Mary Ethel (Hainzer) Zalar. Mr. Zalar attended Glassworks grade school and Mapletown High School and resided in Glassworks all of his life. He was a lifelong member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Greensboro. Surviving are a brother, Joseph Zalar, with whom he made his home; two nieces, Amy Revak and her husband, Frank, of Masontown, Pa. and their children, Asia and Jaden Revak and Ann Cantelmo and her husband, Craig, of Cutchogue, N. Y. and their children, Maxwell and Jackson Cantelmo and a nephew, Grant Zalar and his wife, Lynn, of Waynesburg, Pa. and their children, Zachary and Paige Zalar. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 A.M. on Monday, May 2, 2011, followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at the Holy Family Worship Site of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, Greensboro with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels, Pa. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday in the funeral home.
