Jack F. Lightner, 66, of Waynesburg, Pa., died at 1:45 A. M. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in his home. He was born November 6, 1944 in Washington, Pa., a son of the late Edward Lightner and Rose (Johnson) Lightner Werry and his step-father, Arthur W. Werry. Mr. Lightner was a 1965 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School and retired from Washington Steel Corporation as an A & P line operator. He also installed water well pumps. Mr. Lightner was a Protestant and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. On July 3, 1965, he married Judy A. Lewis, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jack W. Lightner and his wife, Debbie, of Waynesburg and Kevin T. Lightner and his wife, Bobbie Jo, of Monessen, Pa.; a daughter, Kimberly Sue Courtwright and her husband, Jacob, of New Freeport, Pa.; four grandchildren, Jeremy Lightner, Amberly Courtwright, Caleb Courtwright and Bethany Rose Courtwright; three great grandchildren, Alyssa Lightner, Roxy Lightner and Natalie Conner and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, John Lightner, James Lightner and Jerry Lightner and a step brother, Ernest Hutter.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 17, 2011. The Rev. James D. Lewis, Sr. and the Rev. David L. Barrett will officiate. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
