Anne Hart Simmons, 71, of Greensboro, Pa., died at 8:25 A.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born December 8, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of the late Franklin Luse and Bessie Irene (Hart) Hart. Mrs. Simmons was a 1958 graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels and was a member of the Mapletown United Methodist Church and the Carmichaels Senior Center. She and her husband resided in the state of California from 1964 until 1993 and in Charleston, S. C. from 1993 until they returned to Greensboro in 1999. Mrs. Simmons enjoyed playing bingo and doing yard work. On August 19, 1960, she married Chester E. (Chet) Simmons, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa A. Simmons of Kingsport, Tenn.; a brother, Lloyd F. Hart of Carmichaels; a twin sister, Jane Clovis of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome from 4 to 6 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 29, 2011. Pastor Erwin "Woody" Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Building Fund of the Mapletown Methodist Church, 928 Mapletown Rd., Greensboro, PA 15338.
