Dolores R. Corl, 85, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 12:10 A.M. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born October 18, 1926 in Vesta 6, Washington County, Pa., a daughter of the late Glenn Raymond and Catherine Mae (Hess) Kraft. Mrs. Corl was a 1945 graduate of Donora High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carmichaels. When her children were young, Mrs. Corl assisted with bible school at the church. She worked as a library assistant and office assistant at the Carmichaels Elementary Center and later worked at the Flenniken Memorial Library. She last worked in food preparation at the Carmichaels Senior Center until her retirement in October of 2006. Mrs. Corl was a member of Monessen Chapter No. 205, O. E. S. for over 50 years. She enjoyed baking cookies at Christmastime and giving them away to her friends, neighbors and family. While her health permitted, Mrs. Corl was faithful in visiting with her neighbors. She cherished her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always willing to lend a helping hand in the community. On June 9, 1949, she married Lynn L. Corl, who died June 10, 1972. Surviving are a son, Lynn L. Corl, II; two daughters, Linda L. Bennett and her husband, Barry, of Dilliner, Pa. and Candace K. Kingan and her husband, Ronald, Sr., of Clarksville, Pa.; six grandchildren, Barry K. Bennett, Jr. and his wife, Renee, Christopher T. Bennett and his wife, Leah, Heather R. Corl, Adelaide L. Corl, Lynn L. Corl, III and Steven M. Kingan; five great grandchildren, Eric Bennett, Brandon Bennett, Nathan Bennett, Caelyn Silfief and Devin Bennett; two brothers-in-law, Dale Y. Corl and his wife, Georgie, of Mountville, Pa. and Joel Leininger of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Glenn Albert Kraft. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Thursday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 25, 2012. The Rev. Bruce R. Judy will officiate. Interment will follow at Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the American Lung Association National Headquarters, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004 or to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
