Marjorie J. Bednarski Temple

Marjorie J. Bednarski Temple, 80, of West Middletown, Pa., died at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, May 27, 2012 in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa. She was born May 1, 1932 in Hopewell Township, Washington County, Pa., a daughter of the late Mike and Kate (Wozniak) Bednarski. Mrs. Temple was a 1950 graduate of Trinity High School and resided in West Middletown since 1953. She was a member of the Grove United Presbyterian Church since 1952, attended Sunday school and sang in the Church choir for 20 years. Mrs. Temple was also a member of the McKeever Study Organization in West Middletown, a former member of the West Middletown Garden Club and served on the election board of West Middetown Borough for many years. She was a meticulous homemaker and was known to open her door for any child in the community. April 19, 1952, she married John R. "Jiggs" Temple, who died March 30, 2012. Surviving are four sons, Jonathan R. "Pete" Temple and his wife, Susan, Mark R. Temple, Paul M. Temple and his wife, Jackie, and Eric D. Temple, all of West Middletown; six grandchildren, Jenna, Amanda, Jonathan, Benjamin, Alex and Jake Temple; three sisters, Loretta Yanavich, Alice McVay and Pearl Legerski, all of Washington, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, John, Walter and Richard Bednarski and two sisters, Bertha Ermacoff and Frances Hartline. Friends will be received from 9 - 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 31, 2012, with services at 11:00 A.M. at the Grove United Presbyterian Church, West Middletown, Pa. The Rev. Dr. Jack H. Emerick will officiate. Interment will follow at West Middletown Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Grove United Presbyterian Church, P. O.
