Mario S. Czyzewski

Mario S. Czyzewski, 63, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 7:38 A.M. on Friday, September 7, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was born December 2, 1948 in Watenstedt, Germany, a son of Antoni Czyzewski of Carmichaels and the late Janina (Szmelak) Czyzewski. Mr. Czyzewski was a 1967 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and resided in Cumberland Township, Greene County, Pa. all of his life. He served with the U. S. Navy for four years of active duty and two years with the Navy Reserves during the Vietnam Era with the Seabees. Mr. Czyzewski worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. His last employer was Atlas Service Corporation. He enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities, NASCAR racing, automotive repair and fishing with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Czyzewski loved his wife and children and especially cherished his grandchildren. On March 6, 1971, he married Debbie J. Ruth, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dr. William A. Czyzewski and Dr. Nick E. Czyzewski and his girlfriend, Heather Tokarcik and children, of Carmichaels; three daughters, Kristi Czyzewski White of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Lyndee L. Czyzewski and Sarah J. Czyzewski, both at home; two grandchildren, Sydney J. Czyzewski and Abigail R. Czyzewski; a brother, Edward A. Czyzewski of Waynesburg, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. The Rev. Bruce R. Judy will officiate. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels with military honors accorded by Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a veterans organization of the donor's choice.
