James C. Reynolds, 57, of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born January 30, 1955 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Harry Edward Reynolds and Phyllis (Wilson) Reynolds Durbin. Mr. Reynolds was a 1973 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School. After high school, he began working for the Equitable Gas Company and later the Clairton Coke Works and the LTV Steel Corporation Nemacolin Mine. When the coal mine closed, Mr. Reynolds worked in street maintenance for the Borough of Carmichaels. He served as president of the Crucible Slavonic Club and enjoyed restoring antique trucks and spending time with his friends at Russell Skile's shop. Mr. Reynolds especially cherished his grandchildren. On August 6, 1974, he married Patricia K. Ewart, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Sheldon D. Reynolds and his wife, Michelle, of Carmichaels; a daughter, Rebecca L. Reynolds of Nemacolin, Pa.; five grandchildren, Brennen McMinn, Collin Reynolds, Dayton Reynolds, Emily Miller-Reynolds and Rylee Miller-Reynolds; a brother, Jonathan Edward Reynolds and his wife, Betsy of Mt. Jackson, Va.; six sisters, Hope Reynolds Loper of Milton, Fla., Carolyn Faith Murray of Washington, Pa., Diana L. Perry of Front Royal, Va., Gail Robin Dodds and her husband, Drexel, of Columbus, Ohio, Mary Lou Minner and her husband, Don, of Maryland and Crystal Renee Husk, of Akron, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Timothy Van Reynolds. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday and 9 to 11 A.M., the hour of service on Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. Harold O. Kelley will officiate.
