Martha Billek Madich, 84, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 1:45 P.M. on Monday, January 28, 2013 in her home. She was born July 8, 1928 in Georges Township, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Mike and Anna (Blasko) Billek. Mrs. Madich was a member of the St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels and the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking, flower and vegetable gardening. Mrs. Madich was always compassionate to the needs of others and was willing to help in any way. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. On November 29, 1950, she married Charles "Bill" Madich, who died November 26, 2000. Surviving are two sons, Michael C. Madich, at home and Gary J. Madich and his wife, Cynthia, of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren, Leanna Lowery and her husband, Charles, Olivia Makel and her husband, Jason, Alissa Madich, Anna Fregeau and her husband, Phillepe and Joseph Madich; seven great grandchildren, Jenna, Emma, Jacob, Ava, Lidia, William and Evan and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Andrew Billek and Michael Billek and two sisters, Justine Billek, who died in childhood and Ann Sokup. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 followed at 10:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, 408 Route 88, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, 408 Route 88, Carmichaels, PA 15320 or to Via Quest Hospice, 610 Park Ave., Monongahela, PA 15063.
