Mary Louise Braden, 80 of Carmichaels, Pa. died Wednesday, January 30, 2012 in Rolling Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born December 31, 1932 in Carmichaels a daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Caroline Elizabeth (Swenson) Johnston, Sr. Mrs. Braden was a 1950 graduate of Cumberland Township High School and lived in the Carmichaels area most of her life. She was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and attended the Senior Center both in Carmichaels. Mrs. Braden enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and embroidery work. She especially cherished her grandchildren. Surviving is a son, Robert David Kreinbrook of Lehighton, Pa.; two daughters, Mary Jo Holda Journic and her husband Michael of Carmichaels and Carol Ann Holda Fawver and her husband Timothy of Minerva, OH; two grandchildren, Malcolm Journic and his wife Sabrina and Gabrielle Fawver; two great grandchildren, Maddison and Asher Journic; a brother William Johnston of Biloxi, Miss.; sister-in-law Patricia Johnston of Ashville, N.C. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Deceased are her husbands, Joseph Holda and Harold Kenneth "Slug" Braden and a brother, Robert Franklin Johnston, Jr. Arrangements are private and under the direction of Yoskovich Funeral Home Carmichaels, Pa.
