James Emory Butcho

James Emory Butcho, 88 of Rivesville, W. Va. passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 24, 1924 at Grays Landing, Pa., a son of the late Joe Butcho and Rose (Mizack) Butcho. Jim is survived by his wife, Betty Anderson Fisher Butcho of Rivesville; a son, Phil Butcho and wife, Kim, of Smithfield, Pa.; a daughter, Linda Collins and husband, Chuck, of Masontown, Pa.; a granddaughter, Maggie Collins of Masontown; three grandsons, Phillip J. "PJ" Butcho and wife, Erin, of Hopwood, Pa., Ryan Butcho of Morgantown, W. Va. and Justin Butcho and wife, Liz, of Smithfield; two great grandchildren, Brooks Butcho and Reagan Butcho; three step-sons, Randy Fisher and wife, Robin, of Rivesville, Donnie Fisher and wife, Sandy, of LaPlata, Md. and Michael Fisher and wife, Misti, of Rivesville; two step-daughters, Kim Eddy and husband, Fred, of Fairview, W. Va. and Pam Gray and husband, Jeff, of Mannington, W. Va.; step-grandchildren, Amber Fisher, Hope and Lucas Sayle, Adriane and Matthew Martin, Michael and Carly Fisher, Kaitlyn Gray, Cody Lambert, and Cetera; step-great-grandchildren, Aryanna Martin, Elijah Sayle and Kenna and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death in 1985 by his first wife, Maggie (Vannicola) Butcho; four brothers, John Butcho, Gaza Butcho, Steve Butcho and Andy Butcho and a sister, Margaret Vaslavsky. Jim was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Navy. He retired from the Duquesne Light Warwick Mine and was a member of U. M. W. A. Local 6310. He enjoyed bowling everyday. Jim was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6303, Greensboro, Pa. and American Legion Post 499, Point Marion, Pa. Family and friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, W.Va. from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, September 20, 2013. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 P.M. at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will take place at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown, Pa. with military honors by the Carmichaels Honor Guard composed of members of Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491.
