Charles J. Gregorich, 94, of Nemacolin, Pa., died at 7:04 P.M. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Cloverdale Personal Care Home, Masontown, Pa. He was born December 24, 1918 in Elizabeth, Pa., a son of the late Charles and Catherine (Deush) Gregorich. Mr. Gregorich was a 1940 graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels and was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church of Nemacolin. He was a former member of the Holy Name Society. Mr. Gregorich served with the 111th Signal Service Company in the U. S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Faith Gray McArdle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584, Masontown and United Mine Workers of America Nemacolin Local 6290 and a former member of the Greene County Citizen's Club, Nemacolin. In 1980, Mr. Gregorich retired from the LTV Nemacolin Mine. On June 26, 1948, he married Cecelia M. Quintana, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Edward C. Gregorich and his wife, Carol, of Lebanon, Pa. and James N. Gregorich and his wife, Susan, of Waynesburg, Pa.; a daughter, Kathryn A. Angelini and her husband, Mark, of Washington, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Nicole Sturges (Elton), Danielle Gregorich, Christopher Gregorich (Corrie), Jason Gregorich, Jennifer Gregorich, Keith Gregorich, Kristin Stewart (Greg) and Whitney Angelini; five great grandchildren; two half brothers, Fred Gregorich of Oakdale, Pa. and Richard Gregorich and his wife, Charlene, of Aliquippa, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two half brothers, Ernest Gregorich, who died in childhood and Edward Gregorich; a half sister, Charlotte Gregorich, who died in childhood and his stepmother, Barbara Gregorich. Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 8 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 5, 2013, followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Crucible, Pa. A vigil service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday in the funeral home.
