Ralph J. Angelini, 87, of Jefferson, Pa. and formerly of Nemacolin, Pa., died Tuesday morning, January 28, 2014 at Consulate Health Care, McMurray, Pa. He was born May 2, 1926 in Nemacolin, a son of the late Frank and Clementine (Vitale) Angelini. Mr. Angelini served with Company 1 of the 13th Infantry Regiment with the U. S. Army during World War II in Europe. For his injuries sustained in the line of duty, he was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Angelini worked after World War II as a barber in Nemacolin. He later worked as an appliance repairman for Montgomery Wards and Angelini's Hardware and Appliance in Carmichaels, Pa. He later owned his owned and operated Ralph's Appliance in Carmichaels for a number of years. Mr. Angelini retired from the Nemacolin Mine as a union electrician in 1986. He was a member of the Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Nemacolin and the United Mine Workers of America Nemacolin Local 6290. Mr. Angelini enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Ryczek) Angelini; five sons, Jim Angelini and his wife, Susan, of Washington, Pa., David Angelini and his wife, Cherie, of Jefferson, Mark Angelini and his wife, Kathy, of Washington, Gregory Angelini of Jefferson and Martin Angelini and his wife, Stephanie, of McMurray; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Angelini, Justin Angelini, Christie Angelini, Mandi Baney and her husband, David, Mia Angelini, Kristin Stewart and her husband, Greg and Whitney Angelini and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, August Angelini and two sisters, Rose Burchianti and Josephine Egidi. Family and friends are welcome from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 31, 2014, followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Crucible, Pa. with military honors accorded by Cumberland American Legion Post 400, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 and the U. S. Army. A vigil service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
