Thelma Jean Blaker Randolph

Thelma Jean Blaker Randolph, 88, of Newbury, Ohio and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa. and Willoughby, Ohio, died at 9:34 P.M. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Carol Millard, in Newbury. Mrs. Randolph spent the past 11 years in the loving care of Carol. She was born June 8, 1926 in Carmichaels, a daughter of the late Ewing Eaton and Grace Marie (Rhodes) Blaker. Mrs. Randolph was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels and worked as a switchboard operator for the former South Penn Telephone Company in Carmichaels. She had been a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Willoughby where she resided for 40 years prior to moving to Newbury. On May 7, 1948, she married Russell M. Randolph, who died February 12, 2002. Surviving are three daughters, Betty Kalis and her husband, Joe, of Stow, Ohio, Carol Millard and her husband, Glenn, of Newbury and Kathy Randolph of Willoughby; four grandchildren, Becky Nied and her husband, Dan, Janet Layne, Emily Millard and Amy Sacia and her husband, Eric; three great grandchildren, Gregory Nied, Adam Nied and Owen Nied; a brother, Brice E. Blaker and his wife, Bonnie, of Carmichaels and a sister, Wilma F. Allison, all of Carmichaels; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Margaret Randolph of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is her brother-in-law, Carl P. Allison. Family and friends are welcome from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 20, 2014. The Rev. Harold O. Kelley will officiate. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Attention Contributions, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.
