Mildred Cindric Tekely

Mildred Cindric Tekely, 97, of Nemacolin, Pa., died at 4:15 P.M. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Cloverdale Personal Care Home, Masontown, Pa. She was born March 21, 1917 in Hoover (German Township), Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Yurcic) Cindric. Mrs. Tekely resided in Nemacolin since 1939 where she was a member of the Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. On November 26, 1936, she married Anthony T. Tekely, who died April 9, 2002. Surviving are three daughters, Shirley Jean Barker and her husband, William, of Surprise, Ariz., Anna Marie Virgili and her husband, Gene, of Mentor, Ohio and Barbara Joan Spriggs and her husband, James, of Paris, Ky.; three sons, Ronald A. Tekely and his wife, Kathleen, of Forest Hills, Pa., John M. Tekely of West Mifflin, Pa. and Robert E. Tekely of Wilkins Township, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Thomas A. Tekely, who died in infancy; four brothers, Mike Cindric, Mitchell Cindric, Nick Cindric and George Cindric and a sister, Ann Cindric. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:20 A. M. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at the Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church, Nemacolin with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Crucible. A vigil service will take place at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
