William D. Celli, 79, of Ford City, Pa. and formerly of Rices Landing, Pa., died at 3:00 A. M. on Monday, August 18, 2014 in his home. He was born April 16, 1935 in Carmichaels, Pa., a son of the late Tony and Margery J. (Dowlin) Celli. Mr. Celli was a graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School and served in the U. S. Army. He worked as a foreman for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers on many locks and dams in the four-state area. Mr. Celli was a former member of American Legion Post 816, Rices Landing, the Rices Landing Volunteer Fire Company and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rices Landing, where he served as an usher. He enjoyed auto and motorcycle mechanical and paint work. On April 26, 1998, he married Carolynne Lewis Reich, who died March 22, 2006. Surviving are a son, Anthony J. Celli, of Waynesburg, Pa.; a daughter, Lisa A. Celli of Waynesburg; two step daughters, Sandra Reich of Ford City and Amanda Reich Riskosky of Kittanning, Pa.; a step grandchild, Kiefer Riskosky; a sister, Dolly Dolansky of Rices Landing and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his second wife and parents are the mother of his children, Mary Jane Celli and his brother-in-law, Bernie Dolansky. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. A blessing service will follow the visitation at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. John M. Bauer officiating. Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 will accord military honors immediately following the blessing service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
