Jodi L. Kerr

Jodi L. Kerr, 42, of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly on Friday, September 19, 2014 while at work at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, Morgantown, W. Va. where she had been employed for the past 10 years. She was born September 11, 1972 in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of James Robert and Sue Ann (Miller) Kerr, with whom she made her home. Jodi was a 1990 graduate of the Carmichaels Area High School and attended Penn State University, Community College of Allegheny County and Westmoreland Community College, where she earned an associate degree in dental assisting. She enjoyed craft work, cooking, baking and canning items, many of which she entered into various fairs. In her youth, Jodi was a member of the 4-H for 11 years. Surviving in addition to her parents are two sisters, Judy Workman and her husband, Hank, and Dr. Nancy Kerr, all of Carmichaels; a brother, Glenn Kerr and his wife, Stacey, of Greensburg, Pa.; her maternal grandmother, Irene (Mitchell) Miller of Uniontown, Pa.; a nephew, Levi Kerr and two nieces, Regan Kerr and Aleah Kerr, all of Greensburg and two uncles, Richard Kerr and his wife, Kathy, of Carmichaels and William G. Miller of Waltersburg, Pa. Deceased are her paternal grandparents, James Allan and Louise (Baily) Kerr and her maternal grandfather, Paul A. Miller, Jr. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. The Rev. Donald P. Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
