Frank L. Boczar, 85, of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly Monday morning, October 6, 2014 in his home. He was born October 6, 1929 in Nemacolin, Pa., a son of the late Steve and Agnes (Zelinsky) Boczar. Mr. Boczar was a graduate of German Township High School in McClellandtown, Pa. and resided in Carmichaels since 1987. He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Crucible, Pa. and worked as a supervisor for the New York City Housing Authority until his retirement in the late 1980's. Mr. Boczar enjoyed hunting and cooking. On July 5, 1952, he married Pauline F. Lazuka who survives. Also surviving are a son, Frank L. Boczar, Jr. of Oakdale, Pa.; a brother, Leo Boczar and his wife, Maria, of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Joe Boczar and Stanley Boczar. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 11, 2014, followed at 10:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Crucible. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday in the funeral home.
