Louise Long DeVault, 83, of Dilliner, Pa., died at 11:05 A.M. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Point Manor Personal Care Home, Point Marion, Pa. She was born March 30, 1931 in Idamay, W. Va., a daughter of the late Hobert E. and Jarusia D. (Ash) Long. Mrs. DeVault was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greensboro, Pa. and was a longtime fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, embroidering, bowling and bird watching. Mrs. DeVault was a former member of the Women's Civic Club in Mapletown, Pa. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was totally devoted to her family. On March 12, 1948 in Oakland, Md., she married Leonard W. DeVault, who died May 23, 2012. Surviving are six daughters, Kandy R. Gashie and her husband, Mike, of Greensboro, Vicki S. Anderson and her husband, Roy, of New Salem, Pa., Pamela H. Yoskovich and her husband, Jerry, of Greensboro, Debbie M. Gideon of Carmichaels, Robin L. Kavlick of Dilliner and Mary "Tweety" Blaker and her husband, Brian, of Rices Landing, Pa.; 12 grandchildren, Andrea Rumble (Mike), Jenny Gashie, Bridgette Parsons (Kevin), Rebecca Fouse (Joel), Stacey Flynn (Tom), Major Joseph Yoskovich (Tess), Matthew Yoskovich, Dr. Christine Stephenson (Kurt), Greg Husaim, Joyce Blaker, Amy Blaker and David Blaker; 18 great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Long of Lordstown, Ohio and Ray Long of Streetsboro, Ohio; a sister, Elma Efaw of Leavittsburg, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Joyce Louise Devault, who died in infancy; three brothers, Ralph Long, Russell Long and Robert Long and three sisters, Mary Nicholas, Lenora Halio and Doris Ramsey. Family and friends are welcome from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday, October 18, 2014. The Rev. Harold O. Kelley will officiate. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Morgantown, W. Va. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, Greensboro, PA 15338 or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the management and staff at Point Manor Personal Care Home and to Amedisys Hospice.
