Jerry Kois, 77, of Dilliner, Pa., died at 2:30 A.M. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. He was born January 29, 1937 in Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pa., a son of the late John and Lucy (Kirchner) Kois, Sr. Mr. Kois attended Southeastern Greene schools and resided in Monongahela Township all of his life. He served with the U. S. Army in Korea after the conflict and retired in 2000 from the Cumberland C Harbor at Alicia. Mr. Kois enjoyed hunting, fishing and working his family farm. On December 30, 1964, he married Linda A. Wilson, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Renee D. Gall and her husband, Mark, of Westover, W. Va.; two sons, Jerry D. Kois and his wife, Melissa, of Martinsburg, W. Va. and John T. Kois and his wife, Deni, of Pittsboro, N. C.; four grandchildren, Dallas Kois, Emma Kois, Ava Kois and Maya Kois; a brother, Robert "Pete" Kois and his wife, Rebecca, of Elyria, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Terry Kois and Fred Kois and a half brother, John Kois, Jr.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 5, 2015. Pastor Nelson E. Boone will officiate. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown, Pa. with military honors accorded by the Carmichaels Honor Guard and the U. S. Army.
