Anthony "Junior" Uglik

Anthony "Junior" Uglik, 85, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 8:25 A.M. on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital - Suburban Campus, Bellevue, Pa. He was born October 20, 1929 in Masontown, Pa., a son of the late Anthony and Anna (Javien) Uglik, Sr. Mr. Uglik was a 1948 graduate of the former German Township High School in McCellandtown, Pa. and resided in Carmichaels since 1950. He owned and operated Uglik's Barbershop in Masontown for over 70 years. Mr. Uglik was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels, the Masontown Rod and Gun Club, Hutchison Sportsman's Club and the George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, Pa. In addition, he was a social member of the Italian American Club in Masontown. Surviving are his wife, Loretta (Jurczak) Uglik; a son, Anthony Allen Uglik and his wife, Barbara, of Mount Airy, Md.; two grandchildren, Kristin Marie Uglik and Megan Ann Talley and her husband, Jeffrey, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Frank Uglik and a sister, Helen Brnich. All services were private and entombment took place at the mausoleum at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa. The family suggested that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
