Elissa Spiker St. Clair, 30, of Charlotte, NC and formerly of Greensboro, PA, died on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main Campus in Charlotte. She was born July 27, 1984 in Uniontown, PA, a daughter of Joseph E. and Christine A. (Burich) Spiker of Greensboro. Elissa was the valedictorian of the Class of 2002 at Mapletown High School, Greensboro and was a member of the former Holy Family Catholic Church of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish. She received her bachelor's degree in speech pathology Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University. Elissa also attended the University of Pittsburgh where she received her master's degree in speech pathology. While attending the University of Pittsburgh, she met her husband, Trevor T. St. Clair. The couple was married on June 30, 2012. In Pittsburgh, Elissa worked at the Early Learning Institute as a speech pathologist and enjoyed the Waterfront, Sandcastle Water Park and attending the Pittsburgh Pirate baseball games. Being an avid WVU fan, she enjoyed the "Backyard Brawl", when West Virginia played Pitt in football. Elissa enjoyed singing "Sweet Caroline" and "Take Me Home, Country Roads" with the fans at the WVU home games. While residing in Charlotte, she worked at the Cleveland County schools as a speech pathologist and was a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Elissa enjoyed travel, especially to the Caribbean. While in St. Thomas, she and her husband, Trevor, became engaged. Elissa liked to attend Jimmy Buffet and Hall and Oates concerts and to watch Marvel movies with her husband. Elissa also cherished her time at the beach at Ocean City, MD with her sister, Kristen, brother, Joe, and cousins, Brad and Joe Pennington. She also liked spending time with her miniature Dachshund, "Rocky". Elissa always enjoyed exploring the cities in which she resided by visiting the various restaurants. With her infectious smile, she made an impact on everyone she met and made friends everywhere. Surviving in addition to her parents, Joseph and Christine, and her husband, Trevor T. St. Clair, are a brother, Joseph Spiker, of Greensboro; a sister, Kristen A. Mullins and her husband, Brad, of Harrisburg, PA.; two nephews and Godsons, Mason and Miles Mullins; her special aunt and uncle, Janet and Norm Pennington, her loving Godparents, of Dilliner, PA; her paternal grandmother, Althea Spiker, of Smithfield, PA.; a sister-in-law, Macy St. Clair of Findley, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Tyler St. Clair of Minot, N. D.; her father-in-law, Kenneth St. Clair of Charlotte and her mother-in-law, Charylene St. Clair, of Morgantown, WV. Deceased are her paternal grandfather, Charles Spiker and her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Anna Burich. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa., where a blessing service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, followed at 11:00 A. M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church, Bobtown, Pa. with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown, PA. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 P. M on Monday in the funeral home.
