Donald Guy Burke, 84, of Chesapeake, Va. and formerly of Alexandria, Va. and Nemacolin, Pa., passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake. He was born November 22, 1930 in Ronco, Fayette County, Pa. a son of the late Douglas D. and Irene (Kerr) Burke. Mr. Burke served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict with the Anti Aircraft Artillery in Alaska. He was an avid fisherman. In August of 1952, he married Charlotte M. Lasko, who died September 5, 1995. Surviving are a son, Douglas Burke of Chesapeake; two daughters, Irene Smith-Winoker and her husband, Jon, and Cindy Burke all of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Richard Smith and his wife, Lana, Sarah Lambert and her husband, Dane, Jonathan Winoker and his wife, Kate, and Jordan Winoker; three great grandchildren, Aspen Lambert, Kerr Lambert and Jordy Winoker; two brothers, Thomas R. Burke and his wife, Dorothy, of Owings, Md. and James R. Burke of Texas; a brother-in-law, Morgan Organt of Pennsicola, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a grandson, John Kennedy; two sisters, Mary Lou Henderson and Jane Organt and his sister-in-law, Betty Burke. Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., the hour of a memorial service on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. Harold O. Kelley will officiate. Interment of his cremains will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
