Thelma P. Halterman

Thelma P. Halterman, 93, of Washington, Pa. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 3:45 A. M. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Evergreen of Washington. She was born January 29, 1922 in Graceton, Indiana County, Pa., a daughter of the late Victor O. and Anna Marie (McBeth) Campbell. Mrs. Halterman resided in Cumberland Township, Greene County most of her life and attended the Revere Free Methodist Church in Uledi, Pa. as long as her health permitted. She worked in the cafeteria at the former Nemacolin Elementary School and Carmichaels Area High School. On December 9, 1939, she married Branson M. Halterman, who died May 25, 2003. Surviving are three sons, Richard M. Halterman and his wife, Faith, of North Sebago, Maine, Arleigh Albert Halterman and his wife, Diane, of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Allan Wayne Halterman and his wife, Deborah, of New Stanton, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Carl Halterman and his wife, Robin, Mark Halterman and his wife, Mary, Scott Halterman and his wife, Yvette, Lisa Edwards and her husband, Ron, Denise Thomas and her husband, Rick, Arleigh Albert Halterman and his wife, Britt, Jayson Halterman, Justin Halterman and his wife, Jenni, Ryan Halterman and his fiancee, Cassandra and Shannon Marie Halterman; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Campbell and his wife, Ora, of Ravenna, Ohio; two sisters, Loretta Grimm of Mantua, Ohio and Naomi Markiewich and her husband, Walter, of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Eugene Campbell and Charles Campbell and a sister, Faye Marie Campbell. Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 7 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 24, 2015. The Rev. P. Keith Larson will officiate. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
