Larry A. Christopher, 61, of Rices Landing, Pa., died at 5:53 A.M. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. He was born March 25, 1954 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of the late Ernest Christopher and Mildred F. (Palmer) Christopher Snyder. Mr. Christopher was a graduate of Brownsville High School and resided in Rices Landing for the past 16 years. He worked as a machinist for the past 30 years. In his younger years, Mr. Christopher owned and piloted his own biplane. As a mechanic, he enjoyed "tinkering" in his garage with his 1968 Corvette and operating his remote controlled helicopters, airplanes and cars. Surviving are his wife, Mary K. (Marinko) Christopher; a daughter, Jamie L. Schliffka and her husband, Jeff, of Brownsville; two step sons, Troy A. Martin of Waynesburg and Allan J. Martin and his wife, Katie, of Rices Landing; three grandchildren, Geofrey J. Schliffka, Katarina J. Martin and Kinley M. R. Martin; two brothers, Ernest "Buddy" Christopher and his wife, Karen, of Penncraft, Pa. and Eugene B. Christopher of Luray, Va. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is an infant sister, Loretta Christopher. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 with Pastor Tammy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
