Margaret Williamson

Margaret Williamson, age 85 of Greensboro, Pa., died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Morgantown, W. Va. She was born April 7, 1930 in Bobtown, Pa. a daughter of the late Martin and Rose (Hebel) Wozniak. Mrs. Williamson graduated from Point Marion High School and had resided in Greensboro most of her life. She enjoyed playing golf, with her husband, in the couples' league at Carmichaels Golf Course. Mrs. Williamson was a member of the former Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Greensboro, where she was active in the rosary society, and a current member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church in Bobtown, Pa. On September 16, 1950 she married George E. Williamson who died May 12, 1997. Surviving is a son, Charles J. Williamson, and his wife, Patricia of Greensboro; a daughter, Susan K. Messich of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Jamie L. Piper, and her husband, Dale, Michael J. Williamson, and his wife, Sondra and Matthew G. and Mark E. Messich; four great granddaughters, Adalyn Piper and Leah, Audrey and Chloe Williamson; four sisters, Verna Cullen and Rose Novacich, both of Point Marion, Dorothy Dmochowsky, and her husband, Stanley of Springfield, Ore. and Agnes Puckett of Hillsville Va. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are three brothers, Frank, Joseph and Martin Wozniak and two sisters, Viola Makovec and Stella Reda. Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 followed at 11:00 a.m. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church, Bobtown with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park. A vigil service will be held on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donation to St. Ignatius of Anitoch Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 63, Bobtown, Pa. 15315-0063.
