Robert E. Kramer, Sr.

Robert E. Kramer, Sr., 90, of Rices Landing, Pa. and formerly of The Oaks in California, Pa., died at 2:50 A.M. on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Golden LivingCenter, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born February 16, 1925 in Huntington, Ind. a son of the late Carl and Florence (Sunday) Kramer. Mr. Kramer served in Alaska with the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as an over the road truck driver and resided most of his working life in Philadelphia and in southern New Jersey. Mr. Kramer retired in 1985 from Drake Motor Lines and traveled with his wife, Lee, throughout the United States for two years before settling in Florida. In 1999, the couple returned to Pennsylvania. Mr. Kramer was a member of the Fraternal Order of Moose. On August 1, 1959, he married O. Lee Thompson, who died August 19, 2011.

Surviving are three sons, Robert E. Kramer, Jr. and his wife, JoAnn, of Rices Landing, John "Jack" Kramer and his wife, Susan, of Point Reyes, Cal. and Thomas C. Kramer and his wife, Pam, of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Barbara McKeeby and her husband, Dan, of Decatur, Mich. and Katherine Kramer of Madison, Wis.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Darlene Childress and a sister, Marjorie Root.

There will be no public viewing or memorial service.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
