Michael Lee "Cy" Bock, 59, of Dilliner, Pa., died Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016 in his home of natural causes. He was born June 5, 1956 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of the late Cyril A. and Mildred (Jones) Bock. Mike lived in Dilliner for the most of his life. He was a graduate of Mapletown High School and attended Penn State University Fayette Campus, Uniontown, Pa. Mike worked for over 30 years as a coal miner, mainly as a roof bolter and motorman, and was last employed at the Cumberland Mine in Kirby, Greene County. He was a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America. Mike greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends in Greene County.
Mike is survived by his siblings Pamela Averman and her husband, William, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Barbara Jones, wife of the late David Jones, of Reedsville, Pa., and Barry Bock and his wife, Joy, of Pataskala, Ohio; three nieces; two nephews; a great nephew and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Pastor Charles H. Sowden will officiate
Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, Western Pennsylvania Chapter, P. O. Box 1196, Coraopolis, PA 15108.
