Helen Mary Nickler, 92, of Greensboro, Pa. died peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2016 in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born June 14, 1923 in Toms Creek, Va., a daughter of the late Alex and Edith (Namet) Hegedus. Mrs. Nickler was a very active member of the former Holy Family Catholic Church in Greensboro and also active in her community. She loved to travel and was very devoted to her family. Mrs. Nickler will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her children Diane and George Davis of Naples, Fla., Francis and Patricia Vecchio Nickler of Cheat Lake, Morgantown, W. Va., Richard and Teresa Nickler and Michael and Erin Nickler, all of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a sister Irene Onuscheck of Indiana, Pa. Deceased in addition to her parents, Alex and Edith Hegedus, and her loving husband Frank Nickler, an infant daughter and a sister Mary Rozzi.
Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. and from 9:30 A. M. until 10:30 A. M. on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 19 Jo Glen Dr., Morgantown, WV 26508, followed at 10:30 A.M. by a Mass of Christian burial with the Rev. Carlos Melocoton, Jr. as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Point Marion, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen's memory to "Stepping Stones" (Recreation for people with disabilities), 400 Mylan Park Lane, Morgantown, WV 26501 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
