Earl E. Miller, 74, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 2:20 P. M. on Friday, April 15, 2016 in his home. He was born August 26, 1941 in Denbo, Pa., a son of the late Walter Lee and Mollie Rebecca (Knisely) Miller. Mr. Miller was a 1959 graduate of Cumberland Township High School and served with the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He retired in 2001 as general manager for several fast food restaurants in the Washington, D. C. area before returning to Carmichaels. Mr. Miller enjoyed sports and served as commander, finance officer and first vice commander of Cumberland American Legion Post 400 in Carmichaels. On June 2, 2007, he married Wanda R. Reynolds, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert E. Lee Miller of Holly Springs, N. C., Christopher Allen Miller of Raleigh, N. C. and Daniel A. Miller of Holly Springs; a step son, Timothy Lewis and his wife, Shantel, of Carmichaels; two step daughters, Angie Hastings and her husband, Thomas, and Beth Hastings and her husband, Sam, all of Carmichaels; seven grandchildren, Edward Allen Miller, Dustin Hastings, Eli Hastings, Luke Hastings, Shalyn Lewis, Shannon Lewis and Isaac Lewis; a sister, Dee Ruth of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three sisters, Shirley Ann Miller, who died in infancy, Nita L. Bobruska and Ethel L. Miller.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Pastor Reagan L. Fike will officiate.
The Carmichaels Honor Guard and the U. S. Marine Corps will accord military honors immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
