Paul S. Burich, 65, of Greensboro, Pa., died at 6:50 A.M. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Donnell House, Washington, Pa. He was born August 9, 1950 in Franklin Township, Greene County, Pa., a son of the late Samuel Paul and Anna Margaret (Novak) Burich. Mr. Burich was a 1968 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in Greensboro nearly all of his life. He served with the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era with the 4004th Airborne Squadron in Texas. Mr. Burich worked for Alpha Natural Resources at the Cumberland Mine until his retirement in August of 2015. He was a member of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish in Bobtown, the United Mine Workers of America and a former member of the Greensboro-Monongahela Township Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Burich enjoyed hunting and fishing. On March 23, 1973, he married Olivia Pina, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Samuel R. Burich and Jacob E. Burich, both of Greensboro and Nathaniel P. Burich of New York, N. Y.; a sister, Margaretanne McMasters and her husband, Roger, of Hundred, W. Va.; two step brothers, Jerry Yoskovich of Greensboro and Gary Yoskovich and his wife, Beverly, of Dilliner, Pa.; a step sister, Dorothy Ann Podolinski of Waynesburg, Pa.; a nephew, Brian Menear and his wife, Erika, and several additional nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome from 3 to 9 P. M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 9:15 A.M. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, followed at 10:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, Bobtown with the Rev. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown, Pa. with military honors accorded by the Carmichaels Honor Guard and the United States Air Force.
A vigil service will be held at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish or to the Greensboro-Monongahela Township Volunteer Fire Company.
