James E. “Mac” McGruder, II, 35, of Key West, Fla., formerly of Clarksville, Pa. died unexpectedly, Sunday, May 1, 2016. He was born September 5, 1981 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of Pamela A. (Victor) Lockette of Carksville and the late James Edward McGruder. “Mac”, as he was known by his friends, graduated from Jefferson Morgan High School in 1999 and went on to graduate from Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, Pa. He spent the last five years in the Key West area working as a Mate on a fishing vessel and most recently as an assistant manager of the restaurant Water Front Brewery in Key West. “Mac” enjoyed being on the water and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his step father, Rodney Lockette of Clarksville; a daughter, Nevaeh McGruder of Ohio; four sisters, Angela McGruder of Waynesburg and Azzelia Jones of Coraopolis, Pa. and Jamiee and Katelyn McGruder both of La.; five brothers, Xavier Lockette of Manassas, Va. and Terrance Lockette of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Robert, David and Edrian McGruder all of Fla.; nieces and nephews, Isaiah McGruder, Anisha and Anya Sifford, Keesha Lockette, Brianna Singleton and Troy, Jayden, Kayla and Quincy Lockette. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.
