Leonard "Lenny" Provance

Leonard “Lenny” Charles Provance, age 43 of Clarksville, Pa. (Besco) died Friday, October 7, 2016 in Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. following a brief illness. He was born December 4, 1972 in Uniontown, Pa. a son of Edward S. Provance, Sr. of McClellandtown, Pa. and the late Mildred (Shultz) Provance. Lenny was a 1992 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. He worked as a teacher’s aide for Fayette County ARC, was a sponsor for Big Bothers & Big Sisters, enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting his grass, with his new lawn mower, reading his bible and attending bible studies but most importantly he loved spending time with his family. Lenny was a member of the Pitt Gas Missionary Church, Clarksville, where he served Elder and was affectionately known to his church family as Elder Lenny. On April 10, 1998 he married Sandra Lee (Crockett) who survives.
Also surviving in addition to his wife and father are two daughters, Nikki Lynn Jewett and her husband, Robert and Karen Leigh Pritchard and her husband, Randy Jr., all of Greensboro, Pa; two grandchildren, Ryan Jewett and Blake Mason Charles Pritchard; one brother, Edward S. Provance, Jr. and his wife, Jeanine, of Uniontown; one sister, Twila S. Johnston and her husband, Jerry, of Leckrone, Pa.; stepmother, Sandra Hoffman of McClellandtown; three sisters-in-law, Sharon Hathaway and her fiancé, Raymond Lockart, of Carmichaels, Pa., Latasha Bird of Madison, Ala. and Denise Manning of Farrell, Pa. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Deceased in addition to his mother is a granddaughter, Sophia Leigh Jewett; sister-in-law, Carolyn Perry and brother-in-law, Joseph Bird.
Family and friends are welcome from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 with the Rev. Carl Leipold officiating. Interment will be private.
