Wayne L. Reynolds, 95, of Crucible, Pa., died at 6:45 A.M. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Hillside Personal Care Home, Uniontown, Pa. He was born July 26, 1921 in Crucible, a son of the late William and Sarah (Kerr) Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School and resided most of his life in Crucible. He served with the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II as an airplane instrument specialist. Mr. Reynolds worked at the Crucible and Isabella Mines and later for the Bureau of Deep Mine Safety as a first aid instructor in the 1960's. In 1987, he retired as a state mine inspector. On October 8, 1954, he married Julia E. Harris, who died January 3, 2011.
Surviving are two sons, James Harris of Lexington, S. C. and Scott W. Reynolds and his wife, Ellen, of Rices Landing, Pa.; a daughter, Dixie Lee Primosh of Los Angelos, Cal.; eight grandchildren, Leia Reynolds, Alexandra "Lexi" Reynolds, Lydia Reynolds, Andrea Harris, James "JJ" Harris, Jr., Jackie Harris, Thomas Primosh, Jr. and Ryan Primosh; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, Ralph Reynolds, Clifford Reynolds and Kenneth Reynolds and three sisters, Mary Nopwasky, Wilma Forsythe and Audrey Shoenberger.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 with the Rev. Reagan L. Fike officiating.
