Robert "Bob" J. Allen

Robert “Bob” J. Allen, age 65 of Crucible, died Sunday January 1, 2017 in UMPC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pa. following a brief illness. He was born March 16, 1951 in Chicago, IL a son of the late Woodrow W. and Arline R. (Drobisch) Allen. Mr. Allen was a graduated of Lane High School in Chicago and was a truck driver in and around the Chicago area. Bob loved animals and was a kind and generous person who just enjoyed living life. Mr. Allen had resided in the Crucible area since 2007. His companion of many years, Carol Ann Kerr, died November 3, 2011.

Surviving is a sister, Jean R. Tierney, of Gurnee, IL and a cousin, Thomas Kurtz and his children Michael and Jennifer Kurtz.  Also surviving are an aunt and several cousins.

Family and Friend are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2017 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. John M. Bauer officiating. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
