Denise L. Thomas

Denise L. Thomas, 46, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 1:50 P. M. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Washington Health System Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. She was born August 9, 1970 in Greensburg, Pa., a daughter of Arleigh A. Halterman of Monterey, Tenn. and the late Janet (Grabowski) Halterman. Mrs. Thomas was 1989 graduate of the Carmichaels Area High School and resided in Carmichaels most of her life. She also resided in Florida for 16 years and enjoyed going to the beach, swimming and riding roller coasters. Mrs. Thomas worked as a legal secretary for the public defender's office in Waynesburg, Pa. until October 1, 2016. On October 12, 1991, she married Rickie L. Thomas, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her father and husband are a son, Hunter A. Thomas, at home; a sister, Lisa Edwards and her husband, Ron, of West Mifflin, Pa.; a half brother, Arleigh A. Halterman, Jr. and his wife, Brittany, of Temecula, Calif.; her step mother, Diane Halterman of Monterey and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa.

The funeral service will follow the visitation at 8:00 P.M. with the Rev. Dayton D. Mix officiating.
