Praise the Lord for the time shared with our wonderful father, our loving grandfather, our brother and our friend. Donald L. Leslie, Sr., 86, of Greensboro, Pa., died at 4:29 P.M. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born June 1, 1931 in Menallen Township, Fayette County, Pa., a son of the late Edgar L. and Nellie M. (Kidwell) Leslie. Mr. Leslie served with the 82nd Airborne Division in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In his younger years, he enjoyed driving race cars. Mr. Leslie drove truck for most of his working career and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. He attended the Uniontown Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Leslie enjoyed working on his family farm and was a pool shark. On July 30, 1954, he married Marjorie M. Loucks, who died November 21, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Donald L. Leslie, Jr. and his wife, Teresa and Douglas L. Leslie, all of Greensboro; three daughters, Deborah L. Reynolds and her husband, Gary, of Waynesburg, Pa., Marlene M. Leslie of Greensboro and Audrey E. Ford and her fiancé, Michael Moore, of Point Marion, Pa.; six grandchildren, Kathryn Leslie, Evan Reynolds, Ashley Lewis and her husband, Jay, Alisha Ford, Jessica Hilty and Joshua Reynolds; two great grandchildren, Dominica Lewis and Aubrey Adams; a brother, Joseph J. Leslie of Gerrardstown, W. Va.; two sisters, Violet May Nichols of Uniontown, Pa. and Lorain Martin of Washington, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two daughters, Anita Leslie Hilty and Richelle L. "Shelly" Leslie; three brothers, Edgar L. Leslie, Jr., William H. Leslie and Clarence "Terry" Leslie and a sister, Hazel "Shorty" Curry.
Family and friends are welcome from 3 to 7 P.M. on Sunday and Monday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. The Rev. Michael Lyons will officiate.
Interment will follow Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. with military honors accorded by Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and the United States Army.
