David M. Dursa, 49, of Carmichaels, Pa. and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died unexpectedly at 3:49 A.M. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. He was born March 5, 1968 in Uniontown, a son of Margaret (Mascella) Dursa of Uniontown and the late Frank Dursa, Sr. Mr. Dursa was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and received a degree in business from West Virginia University Career College. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Uniontown and resided in Carmichaels for the past 20 years. Mr. Dursa worked as a supervisor for the J. C. Penney Department Store in Uniontown and played lead guitar for Hit N Run for 20 years. He cherished his time with his children's activities. On August 23, 1997 he married Joyce Clayton, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his children, Nathan M. Dursa and Claire E. Dursa, both at home; a brother, Frank Dursa, Jr. and his wife, Maxine, of New Albany, Ohio; three sisters, Barbara M. Janosick and her husband, Frank, of Spokane, Wash., Janet M. Simko and her husband, Joseph, of Connellsville, Pa. and Carol A. Honse and her husband, Jay, of Belleville, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 8, 2018. Pastor John Rich Dorean will officiate.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Carmichaels Area School District, Attention of the Music Department, 215 North Vine Street, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
