Sarah A. "Sally" Hayes, 73, of Waynesburg, Pa., formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in WVU J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. She was born October 16, 1944 in Washington, Pa. a daughter of the late Larry Louis and Sarah Elizabeth (Ruse) Deems. Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Carmichaels Grange #1389, loved to crochet and was an avid bingo player.

Surviving are two sons Daniel G. Hayes of New Matamoras, Ohio and Gary L. Hayes of Mount Morris, Pa. and one daughter Mary E. "Kitty" Campbell of Waynesburg; one brother, Robert C. Deems of Latrobe, Pa. and one sister, Adell Lucille Savage of Indianapolis, Ind. Also surviving are several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are two brothers, Larry B. Deems, who died in infancy and Louis J. "Sonny" Deems.
