Arleen R. Donaldson

Arleen R. Donaldson, 89, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024.  She was born January 24, 1935 in Miracle Run, W.Va., a daughter of the late John “Zeb” and Flossie (Efaw) Haught.  Arleen was a 1953 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School, Blacksville, W. Va.  After her last child began school, Arleen worked at the Greenway Sewing Factory in Nemacolin, Pa.  After the factory closed, she returned to school to become a medical secretary and worked for Dr. Malepati in Waynesburg, Pa.  On June 23, 1956, she married Philip A. Donaldson, who died March 16, 2012.

Surviving are her children, Raianna Murphy (Bruce), Cheryl Donaldson, Rhonda Donaldson (Dan Teske), Scott Donaldson (Beverly) and Tracey Mayfield (Brian); nine grandchildren, Michael Donaldson (Julie), Adam Donaldson, Brandy Donaldson, Sarah Donaldson, Ryan Mayfield (Mallory), Jeremy Mayfield, Nathan Mayfield, Mathew Sleasman (Katie) and Jordan Sleasman (Rachel); three great grandchildren, Kingston Mayfield, Gianna Sleasman and Hallie Sleasman; four siblings, her twin, Colleen Pierce, Isaac Haught (Sandra), Jim Haught (Karen), Judie Tucker (Jack) and many nieces, nephews and special friends with whom Arleen bowled.

Also deceased are an infant son, David Donaldson; a grandson, Travis J. Murphy; siblings and their spouses, Billy Haught, who was killed in action during World War II, Myrle and Becky Haught, Dorothy and John Chiater, Marion and James Sachetti, Norma and Murle Ammons, Mary Jo Eddy, infant sister, Joyce; sister-in law Sherri Haught and son-in-law, Timothy Sleasman.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:30 P.M. in the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Haines officiating.
