Arley Allen Anderson

Arley Allen Anderson, 66, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa.  He was born March 31, 1957 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of the late Arley L. and Mary Ellen (Walters) Anderson.  Allen was a 1975 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and resided in the Carmichaels area most of his life.  He served in the U. S. Army and was a former member of the Cumberland American Legion Post 400 Band and the First United Methodist Church in Carmichaels.  Allen worked for the First National Bank at their offices in Dry Tavern, Waynesburg, Masontown and Uniontown.  On May 24, 1980, he married Shelley R. McMinn, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Allen Anderson of West Newton, Pa. And Jesse M. Anderson of Masontown, Pa. and a brother-in-law, Robert Cole of Morgantown, W. Va.  Deceased are two sisters, Jacquelyn Cole and Mary Lynn Vaslavsky.

Family and friends are welcome to a graveside service at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Glades Cemetery, Route 88 South, Carmichaels.  Sandy Townsend will officiate.

Military honors will be accorded by the Greene County Honor Guard and the U. S. Army.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Cumberland American Legion Post 400 in his memory.
