Robert Barzanti, 69, of Bobtown, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 in his home. Born on November 17, 1955, in Bobtown, the son of the late Mildred (Cottage) Barzanti.
Robert graduated from Mapletown High school in 1974. On October 14, 1978 he married the love of his life, Janice (Brown) Barzanti. Robert worked at the Shannopin Coal Mine for 19 years until its closure. He worked various other construction jobs after his time in the mine.
An avid outdoorsman, Robert had a love for camping, hunting, and fishing, and he was a master of the grill. He was a gunsmith and enjoyed building and repairing firearms. Robert also had a love for music, and enjoyed drumming. His greatest pleasure was time spent with his family.
In addition to his beloved wife, Robert is survived by his beloved daughter, Angie Harrison (Freddie) of Terra Alta, W.Va.; his cherished grandson, Hunter Harrison; many nieces and nephews, and his "little buddy," Pudgy. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Delores, Richard, Ronald, Myrna, Sylvia, and Jeanne.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels, where a blessing service will immediately follow with Rev. Thomas Lewandowski as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
