Carol A. Wilson, passed away peacefully at her home on June 18, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on December 3, 1937, in Brownsville, PA. She graduated from Mapletown High School in the class of 1955.

On September 15, 1956, in a small log cabin in Khedive, PA Carol married the love of her life, Erwin Woodrow "Woody" Wilson. Their journey together would take them across the country and around the globe during Woody's service in the U.S. Air Force, allowing Carol to experience life in both Germany and Japan.

Carol was an active member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church (Dixie), where she participated with love in the United Methodist Women and the women’s quilting group. They created beautiful quilts not only for their own enjoyment, but also to support various charities and missions, which marked her spirit of giving. Her involvement extended to the White Covered Bridge Committee and the Mapletown Alumni Committee, showcasing her commitment to preserving her community's legacy.

Professionally, Carol held the position of Manager at Hills Department Store, honed her skills in several sewing factories, and later managed the Bakery at Brodak's Shop n' Save. Her talents weren't just limited to her work; she was an expert at quilting and sewing, as well as baking cakes for weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. She had an affinity for life's simple pleasures and was known for her expert wine sampling at Willow Tree Winery.

Carol’s legacy lives on through her adoring family. She is survived by her son, Kevin G. Wilson of New Salem, PA, and her daughters, Kathleen G. Wilson-Vazquez (Luis) of Miami, FL, Kelleen G. Vannicola (Ernie) of Greensboro, PA, and Karrie G. Hoffmann (Bob) of Pittsburgh, PA. Carol was a proud grandmother to Whitney Zoldak (Alan), Christopher Wilson (Samantha), Andrew Wilcox (Lauren), Jaclyn Spitznogle (Justin), Alexandra Lluis (Robert), Abigail Roberts (Joe), and Amber Vazquez. Her great-grandchildren, Kendra Davis, Jaxson Wilson, Sebastian Zoldak, Bella Lluis, Ellie Wilcox, Julianna Zoldak, and Isla Wilcox were a constant source of joy in her life.

Carol is also survived by her brother-in-laws, Jim Wilson (Andrea) and Darrell Wilson (Dianna), her sister-in-laws Connie Stansfield, Patricia Wilson, Judy Allen, Linda Grabofski, and Susanne Wilson, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Harold R. Stansfield, her mother Virginia Mae Williams Stansfield, her dear husband Woody, and her brother Harold "Bud" Stansfield.
