Carole S. Oliverio

July 31, 1949 — December 19, 2024

Carole S. Oliverio, 75, of Uniontown, Pa. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown.  She was born July 31, 1949 in Waynesburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Michael G. and Stella (Tolka) Smalsky.  Carole was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Uniontown.  She was a registered nurse and worked with her husband, Dr. Anthony J. Oliverio, as nurse and office manager at his practice in Uniontown for over 40 years.  Carole enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, traveling, vacationing at Myrtle Beach and making the holidays special for her family.  She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.  Carole would exude warmness and kindness to anyone that she met.  On July 1, 1972, she married Dr. Anthony J. Oliverio, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Louis M. Oliverio (Natalea) of Upper St. Clair, Pa. and Dr. Matthew A. Oliverio (April) of Cheat Lake, W. Va.; four grandchildren, Michael Oliverio, Isabella Oliverio, Anthony Oliverio and Sophia Oliverio; a brother, Stanley M. Jordan (Helen) of Carmichaels, Pa.; a sister, Donna A. Rothman of Upper St. Clair; godchildren, Carolyn Whoolery (David) of Leesburg, Va. and Sarah Rothman of Upper St. Clair and several additional nieces and nephews.  Deceased is a sister and her husband, Patricia Lynn and Richard Novak.

The family extends their great appreciation for the kindness and compassion provided by Mt. Macrina Manor, Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Mary Beth Riley and Dr. Dai and the staff at UPMC Cancer Center, Uniontown.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 23, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, Pa. with the Rev. Anthony Klimko as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to either St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Mt. Macrina Manor.
